CORNERSTONE'S SERVANT LEADERS

Sr. Pastor: Sung Kim

Prior to answering God's calling as Sr. Pastor, Sung served as Lay Minister (Associate Pastor), training under former pastor John Conley. Before that, he served as Deacon and Board Chair. Pastor Sung is originally an East Coast product, from New York City and Philadelphia. He lives in Redding with his two lovely daughters, his devoted mother, and a goofy Lhasa Apso pup named Max.

The pastor is blessed to be earning a Masters in Organizational Leadership from National University. He is also completing a Masters in Theology (Th.M) from Andersonville Theological Seminary. His Bachelors degree is from the City College of New York (CCNY/CUNY).

Pastor Sung says, "Cornerstone is a special place but it's not the building or the music or the preacher that makes it special. It's the people. People who want to develop a personal relationship with Jesus; where they can learn and grow and be encouraged. Hope to see you soon!"

Pastor Emeritus & Presiding Elder

Wayne Trick

We're tremendously blessed to have Pastor Wayne join us at Cornerstone. Because he's a retired pastor (Pastor Emeritus), he has many years of ministry experience and a heart for serving the Lord, so we thought he'd make the perfect Elder for our church. In fact, he's our very first elder at Cornerstone ever. An Elder is someone who is a longstanding member of the Church, knowledgable in Scripture and has a history of serving in ministry. The Elder serves as an advisor to the Senior Pastor and as spiritual leader in the absence of the Senior Pastor. This includes teaching. The Elder is also a voting member of the Board. We look forward to enjoying Pastor Wayne's wisdom and counsel.

Board of Deacons

We love our Board! Our Deacons/Deaconesses are the elected representatives and they're the backbone of our church.

They usually aren't involved in teaching or preaching but instead are focused on running the church (serving as Trustees).
